Crime, cost of living, friendly people, and things to do. How is it in Syracuse?

i think you’ll find that syracuse is very small and boring compared to dallas–nightlife is probably more of a college crowd than a young professional scene (most people usually take off from syracuse after college); there’s little in the way of sports besides syracuse university; some concerts do end up in the syracuse area but not consiostently like other cities..its pretty gloomy all winter but summer is great (and short)…yes hiking, skiing and outdoor activitiex are “nearby” but you cant do them in a day trip so it becomes minimum a weekend trip(the adirondacks are at least 3 hours away)… i wouldn’t choose syracuse as a place to live overall
